Great Nude Lipsticks

Typically, when I wear lipstick, I just wear it to balance out how naturally red my lips are. So, I typically go for nude/neutral lipsticks just to have a little bit less red on my lips, and a little more of a subtle pink or rosy color. These colors would also be good for someone who's trying to get into wearing lipstick. I have mostly drugstore lipsticks because I didn't really wear a lot of lipstick until recently but I also have two high end lipsticks to show you!

This is one of my most used lip colors. It's Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in the color Soft Nude. This color works well for muting out your lips completely, but without making you look dead. Because it has a little bit of a peach tint to it, it keeps you from looking like the walking dead. This pairs great with really dramatic eyes and can be less muted out when paired with a light pink gloss.

This is the L'oreal Colour Riche Lipstick in the color Fairest Nude. This color is actually discontinued, but can sometimes be found at Ulta for a discount, or can be found on ebay or amazon. This is an amazing color because it has a rosy tint to it. So it takes away the focus from your lips, but doesn't mute out your lips as much as the Revlon lipstick does. This is a great every day color as well.

This is the YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick in the color Nude Beige, #1. This is also a very rosy-pink color that's good for every day. These lipsticks are very long wearing and moisturizing, so they're excellent for wearing for long periods of time. This is also another color that can be paired with a smoky eye to have the emphasis for the look to be on the eyes, and is also a great every day color.

This is the Maybelline Color Sensational Pearl Lipstick in the color Sugared Almond. This color is highly frosted, so you definitely don't need a gloss with this. It kind of has a metallic look to it, so it's more of a statement nude, if that makes sense. It can still be paired with dramatic eyes, but the metallic sheen that it has will be more noticeable than a lipstick that was a cream finish.

This is the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in the color Creme Brulee. This looks very similar to Sugared Almond, but it's less metallic, more shimmery and more opaque. These go on super easy and are very moisturizing. I absolutely love these Lip Butters.

This is the Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in the color Born With It. This color is pretty similar to the YSL color above, but with shimmers in it. I have a comparison of the two here.

And finally, this is the MAC Sheen Supreme Lipstick in the color Tea Ceremony. I'm not sure if this is limited edition or not, but you might be able to find it on sites like Makeupalley if it is. It's kind of like a darker, more brick toned version of Revlon Soft nude. If that makes sense. It still has a little bit of a peachy tone to it like Soft Nude does, but darker.
