Empty Beauty/Makeup Products

I started not buying makeup a while ago in hopes of actually being able to use up some products that I have. I used up 12 products during my 6 week winter break from college so I decided to share with you what I thought about each product and if I will be repurchasing any of them! :) I also have started a new collection of products for my next empties video and I have a pretty decent amount already, so my makeup no-buy is working! How I Do Glitter Ombre Nails

I did a tutorial like this using pictures, but I decided to film one to make it easier. Here are some pictures of my glitter ombres from the past:

The one on the bottom, the reverse ombre, is the one that I'm showing in this tutorial. If you want the ombre to start at the top of the nail, just do these steps starting at the top!

Here's the tutorial!

Pretty Little Liars - Spencer Hastings Day to Night Makeup

So Troian (Spencer Hastings) had on a day to night look in last week's episode. The daytime look was when her and Mona had the little confrontation when Mona wanted to join the debate team. And even though it was the next day, her night time look was when they actually had the debate. She had on the same coppery tones in both looks, which is why I'm considering it a day to night look.

The daytime look is VERY natural, very minimal makeup. The nighttime look has VERY smoky liner. So it's a pretty drastic change in very few steps!

I used only the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette for this look.

This video will show you how I got this and I also talk a little bit about what I think is happening on the show!

Nail of the Day (NOTD)

I've been too busy to paint my nails lately, so I've been rocking chipped nails for the past week or so. Yesterday I was motivated to paint my nails so here's the details:

This is OPI's Number One Nemesis from the Spiderman Collection. This came out a while ago, but it's pretty easy to find limited edition nail polishes on amazon.

I put two coats of this on to get that color. It's very pretty and it's holding up pretty well.

Maybelline Vivids Collection - Shocking Coral

A lot of us are interested in the new Vivds collection from Maybelline because it has great spring and summer colors. I found these at Target and this is the only place that I've seen them so far. I picked up the shade Shocking Coral. Here are some lip swatches and what the product looks like.

Maybelline Shocking Coral. Vivid Lipstick
Maybelline Shocking Coral

Maybelline Shocking Coral in Natural Lighting

Maybelline Shocking Coral in Natural Lighting

So as you can see, it's not so much of a coral as a hot pink. I'm completely OK with this though because hot pink is my favorite lip color after nudes. I do wish that it came off a little bit more coral, but it might be because of my natural lip color and how it affects it.

If anyone knows a great coral lipstick for fair/medium skin, please let me know!

NARS Orgasm Blush Exact Dupe

So if you know a little bit about makeup, watch makeup videos on youtube, or read makeup blogs, you probably know that NARS's Orgasm blush is supposed to give you the most amazing glow ever. I used to own this blush until I got another blush that is literally the exact same, but cheaper. I swapped my Orgasm blush on and kept the other one. I still have the NARS Orgasm Multiple, which can be used on your cheeks, eyes, or lips. I compared the two and now I'm going to show you how similar they are.

I would consider this a dead on dupe. These are exactly the same. The only thing is that the multiple version of Orgasm gives more of a sheen just because it's a cream. The powder version is less shiny so it ends up being the exact same.

The blush that dupes NARS's Orgasm is the Mary Kay blush in the color Shy Blush. It's an amazing color.

here's a video talking about the dupe:

and here's the comparison of the two!

You can't deny that these are extremely similar, if not the exact same color. I personally think that they're the exact same.

The NARS blush is $28 and I believe the Mary Kay is $10. So you're saving $18. Who doesn't want to save $18 dollars, right? Go get it now, thank me later!

My Daily Makeup Routine

During the daytime, when I go to class, when I have to work, when I run errands, etc.. I don't like to have a lot of makeup on. I think that too much makeup during the day time makes you look like you're trying really hard. So typically for a day to day basis, I wear minimal makeup (if I even wear makeup at all). Or I wear makeup with a very light coverage. I usually wear tinted moisturizer or BB cream instead of foundation. I also go for neutral eyeshadows and dark brown eyeliner or really thin black eyeliner. I wear smokier eyeshadow and more coverage on my face for special occasions, at night time, and when I'm going out.

See how I do my makeup on a daily basis in this video!

Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette First Impression

While I was at Ulta yesterday, I was checking out the Naked Basics Palette just so that I could put swatches up here for you guys. I wasn't very excited with this palette from seeing it online and in other youtube videos. Swatching it in person confirmed that this was not something that I needed to have.

Venus isn't completely matte. It's a white with subtle shimmer. This is the creamiest and most pigmented shade out of them all. It's the most comparable to Virgin from the Naked palette.

Foxy is a yellow toned highlight shade. This is already in the Naked 2 palette.

W.O.S. is a more pink toned version of Foxy. It reminds me of a matte version of Bootycall from the Naked 2 palette.

Naked 2 is a very light cool-toned brown. It's more cool toned than Naked in the original Naked palette.

Faint is a slightly warm medium brown. It looks to be a little bit darker than Buck from the Naked palette.

Crave is a very dark brown. It looks like a black in the pan, but it's definitely brown. It reminds me of a matte version of Darkhorse from the Naked palette. Crave might be slightly darker.

This palette just didn't overwhelm me. There's only so many looks that you can do with this. Naked 2 and Faint are the only shades that could go in the crease and Crave is the only color dark enough to define the outer corner. I think that if you already own the Naked and Naked 2, you can get the same type of look with the matte shades in those palettes. You might have to use a shimmery shade to define the outer corner, or just purchase a separate matte shade. The texture also wasn't very impressive. A lot of the shades were chalky, and you can see the uneven pigmentation in the swatches above.

Overall, I don't think this is necessary if you have Naked and Naked 2, but it's good as a compliment to either of those palettes.

Personally, I'm going to pass on this palette.

Spotted: New Rimmel Products

I was at Ulta today and I saw these new products from Rimmel London. I think I only have two products from Rimmel so I decided to check these out.

The first thing that I saw was this Rimmel BB Cream
As you can see, there are three shades of this BB cream, so this might be a good one to pick up if you have a darker skin tone.

I personally passed on this because I'm currently using my Skin 79 BB cream.

Then I saw these new eyeshadow pencils and eyeliners
There are only three shades of each, which is a little disappointing, but I decided to try one anyway. I chose the Granite colored one, #004 Guilty Grey.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Guilty Grey 24 Hour Eye Shadow Stick

Rimmel Scandaleyes Guilty Grey 24 Hour Shadow Stick

Swatch of Guilty Grey 24 Hour Shadow Stick
This is a very pretty Granite color that will be perfect for a smoky eye. It claims to be waterproof, but after I swatched it, I wiped it off of my hand with a tissue pretty easily, so we'll see about that.

I know that one of the other shades was a dark brown, and I forgot to look what the third color was (oops). I'm going to be testing this out tonight so I'll see how it wears.

PLL Tuesday- Shay Mitchell's Curled Hair

If you didn't see last Tuesday's post, I am starting a series where every Tuesday, I'm going to post a tutorial on a look from last week's Pretty Little Liars episode. I'm going to be doing hair, fashion, or makeup. Last week I did Aria's Halloween makeup so if you want to see that, click here!

In last week's episode, the makeup didn't really impress me like it usually does, so I decided to do a tutorial on Shay Mitchell's (Emily) hair. It had very natural waves all over the head and then the two pieces around her face had very structured curls. I have layers in my hair, so it doesn't look exactly the same, but it's the same concept!

Here's the inspiration picture that I used for her hair
And here's how my hair turned out!

My hair holds a curl really well and I have layers, so it looks a little less natural. But if your hair doesn't hold a curl or you don't have layers, this will fall really nicely to look like Shay's hair!

Here's how I did it!

Maybelline Colossal Volume Mascara vs Colossal Cat Eyes Mascara.

Maybelline Colossal Cat Eyes Mascara is a relatively new mascara within the last couple of months. If you're like me, you're probably wondering if there's actually a difference between the two. The regular Colossal Volume is my all time favorite mascara, so I picked up the Cat Eyes to see if there was a difference. I used the waterproof versions of both mascaras.

I applied both mascaras to different eyes and saw how they wore during the day. I tested each mascara on both eyes because I have slightly different lash lengths on each eye. I also used the blackest black available for both mascaras.

I found that at first, the cat eyes version seemed to hold the curl of my lashes better than the regular version. But as the day went on, the curl slightly fell so that the two were exactly the same.

Original Colossal Volume Mascara Initial Application

Colossal Cat Eyes Mascara Initial Application

I find that the formula and the final result of these two mascaras are almost exactly the same. The only difference is the brush. I would go for the Cat Eyes version if you like a curved mascara wand and the original version if you don't like a curved wand. Personally I prefer the original version because I find a regular wand easier to work with.

I also find that the original colossal volume gives more of a cat eye effect to my lashes than the cat eye version does. Which defeats the purpose of having the Cat Eye formula.

I also think that the Cat Eye formula gives you more of a spidery look to your lashes, which I'm not personally a fan of. It's also slightly more lengthening and slightly less volumizing. The cat eye mascara is also a little bit more difficult to apply to your bottom eyelashes because of the curved wand.

For my lashes, I like the original version better because it combines the perfect amount of length and volume for my short lashes. I also like the brush better. I've never liked curved mascara wands, so I'm not sure why I even wanted to try the colossal cat eyes mascara.

If you like a curved mascara wand as apposed to a normal wand and length in your mascara as opposed to volume, I would recommend the cat eye version.

Possible Discontinued Product - Revlon Color Burst Lipsticks

I saw somewhere, (I don't remember where, sorry) that the Revlon Color Burst Lipsticks were being discontinued! Not the lip butters, but the lipsticks. I was so disappointed because Soft Nude is my all time favorite lipstick. These lipsticks are a relatively new product so I'm confused as to why they're being discontinued. The color burst lipsticks are no longer available on or I couldn't find them on Revlon's website, but if I googled Revlon Color Burst Lipstick, I could find them. I would assume that this means that the whole line is discontinued, but I could be wrong. I do know for sure that the shade Soft Nude is discontinued. This is so sad!

Revlon Color Burst Lipsticks - Picture from this site.

If you're interested in purchasing backups and your colors aren't in stock at the drugstore, I found a link to the shade Soft Nude here. It also has some other options below. I would recommend exploring the site to find more colors. I have purchased cosmetics from this site before and I purchased MAC and Laura Mercier and they were 100% authentic products.

These lipsticks have an amazing formula and I will definitely be sad to see them go if they are actually being discontinued. If anyone has any information, let us know in the comments!

R.I.P. Revlon Color Burst Lipsticks. You had a great run. You will be greatly missed.

New Drugstore Products Sighting.

If you're looking for the new drugstore products that came out recently, but can't find them, I'm going to talk about where I've seen some more of the popular picks for the new collections.

Maybelline Color Whispers
  • Seen only at CVS.
  • I have not personally picked any up because they looked kind of dry to me.
 Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation
  • Seen at Walgreens, and Rite Aid.
  • I picked this foundation up because I don't like my foundation to be visible and obvious. See my first impressions in the video below.
Maybelline Vivids Lipsticks
  •  I have only seen these at Target.
  • I personally picked up the color Shocking Coral. See a swatch and my first impressions in the video!
Maybelline The Rocket Volume Mascara
  • I've seen this at CVS and Target.
  • I picked this up, but I haven't opened it yet because I already have about 5 or 6 mascaras open.
Maybelline Color Tattoo Metal
  • Ive only seen this at Target.
  • I picked up the color Barely Branded. See my first impressions in the video!
Covergirl Clump Crusher Mascara
  • Seen at CVS, Target, Rite Aid and Walgreens
  • I picked this up, but have not opened it because of the amount of mascaras that I have that are already open.
Wet n Wild Fergie Collection
  •  Seen at Walgreens.
  • Haven't picked up any colors from this line because I was only interested in the lipsticks and I already have enough lipsticks.
Essie UV Treated Nail Polish Strips
  •  Seen at CVS and Target.
  • I didn't pick these up just because. I don't have any reasoning behind it. I just didn't.
L'oreal Color Caresse Shine Stains
  •  I've still only seen these at a really big Rite Aid with a lot of displays for LE and new products
  • I picked up three shades, Pink Resitance, Lilac Ever After, and Pink Rebellion.
  • These aren't super opaque. A little of your natural lip color affects the coloring.
  • They stain pretty well through eating or drinking and aren't drying at all.
  • See more first impressions below.
Revlon Photoready Eyeshadow Quads
  • I've only seen these at a big Rite Aid with a lot of displays.
  • I didn't pick any of these up because the only quads that I was really interested in was the neutral quads, and I'd rather just use my Naked palettes for neutrals.
These seem to be the most popular picks of the collections out now, but if you have any questions about any other collection, just ask in the comments below and I'll try to tell you where I've seen that particular product!

2012 Beauty Products That Didn't Work For Me

To go along with the 2012 Makeup, Skincare, Hair, and Nail Polish favorites, I decided to do a products that I didn't like post as well. I'm going to talk about why I didn't like the product so that you can decide whether or not it might be a good product for you to try. I typically research before I buy products, so I don't have a lot of items. Especially with high end products.

This is in no particular order, I'm just going to try to remember what I've used.

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation.
  • I have pretty dry skin and I found that this foundation stuck to the dry spots on my face like my chin and the sides of my nose. I also found that this really stuck to the teeny hairs on my face (not a mustache or anything, just like the tiny tiny hairs that are all over your body) and made them a lot more noticeable. It just was not flattering on my skin type.
Covergirl Natureluxe Foundation.
  • This foundation is just way too thick and wet. I find that it never actually sets on my face. Even when I set it with powder. So if you touch your face, you're literally going to have a hand print on your face. It's just not practical if you touch your face. The finish was ok. It wasn't super flattering but it wasn't terrible either.
 Milani Eye Tech Liquid Eyeliner
  • This eyeliner is just way too wet. You have to wait at least 5 minutes for it to set or the back of your eyelash curler will take it all off. Because it's so wet, it doesn't apply product evenly. It just moves around whatever happens to actually go on your eye. It also hurts A LOT if you get it in your eye. And for being a product that goes right next to your eye, you're going to get it in your eye occasionally.
 Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blushes
  • These replaced the Maybelline Dream Smooth Mousse Blushes (or something like that, I can't remember the exact name) and those were AMAZING. These blushes are so sheer that they don't really do anything, especially the light colors. They're really pretty in the packaging, but that color doesn't transfer to your cheeks. They're also really hard to get product out of the packaging because they're such a weird formula.
Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream (as blush)
  • I do love these for eyeshadow colors. As blushes, I just don't think they're blendable enough. I actually think that they got rid of the blush colors because they aren't on Sephora's website. I just think that Make Up For Ever has a lot better cream blush and this was just a dud.
Laura Mercier Tightline Cake Eyeliner and Tightline Activator
  • I love the Laura Mercier Cake Eyeliner, but I feel that the tightline one was a little bit of overkill. I still had to set it with a powder because it ran. I use the regular cake eyeliner on my tightline and it works just as well when I set it. I also think that the Fluid Activator is just a waste. It's so expensive for a weird gel thing when it doesn't even prevent the product from smudging. I just use Fix+ now for my regular cake eyeliner and it does the same thing.
 MAC Satin Taupe Eyeshadow
  • This eyeshadow gets a lot of hype so I thought that I would try it. I have the Mary Kay eyeshadow in Granite which is a lot cheaper. I found that Satin Taupe was too red for my fair skin tone and wasn't flattering on me. I like Granite a lot better because it's more of a grey taupe and it's not red and unflattering like Satin Taupe was on me. The redness brought out how bloodshot my eyes were and it was just not working for my skin tone.

Got2Be Guardian Angel Heat Protecting Spray.
  •  I tried this one and the one for blow drying. They were OK as a heat protectant but they made my hair really sticky and tangly. They just gave my hair an awful texture. I also don't really like the smell because it's kind of grandma-y.

So that's all I can remember for the products that didn't work for me for 2012! Let me know what didn't work for you!

How to Easily Remove Glitter Nail Polish

Let's be honest, removing glitter nail polish is a pain. I always get tweets about how removing glitter nail polish is annoying. So I thought that I'd do a video to show you just how easy it can actually be. You don't even need to do that weird thing with the pieces of foil. All you need is 100% acetone (found at drugstores) and cotton pads (also found at drugstores).

I don't hesitate to paint my nails with glitter anymore because I know that if I use this method, it won't be annoying to remove.

The glitter that I'm removing is China Glaze - It's A Trap-eze. It's extremely chunky glitter, as you can see below.

China Glaze It's A Trap-eze
As you can tell, this looks like it would take forever to take off. Using the process in the video, it only took me about 5 minutes for both hands.

I have pretty dry and flakey nails and I find that this doesn't make them worse. So as far as I can tell, it's not harming your nails.

OOTD- A Warm Winter Day

It's been pretty warm outside for the past couple of days, so I was more motivated to put together cute outfits. Something about the cold makes me just want sweatpants and a t-shirt. And because I take my pictures outside, I don't want to stand there and freeze without a coat on. So because it's in the 50's today, I didn't need a jacket. I was inspired by an outfit that I saw on Pinterest.

This is a great look for the fall, a warm day in winter, and early spring!

-My scarf is from I just searched scarf and it was one of the first to come up. I have it in three different colors.
-My sweater is from Gap.
-The black and white striped dress under my sweater is from Target.
-I'm not sure where my tights are from, but they're just basic black tights.
-My boots are from - I have a review on them here.
-My bracelet is from Charlotte Russe.

I'm absolutely in love with this outfit and it's going to be very cute for early spring when it's still a little chilly. I can't wait to keep mixing and matching outfits like this!

Lucy Hale (Aria) Pretty Little Liars Tutorial

I decided that, with Pretty Little Liars coming back on, it would be a good idea to do a new video every Tuesday that incorporates either a makeup, hair, or fashion video from the episode the week before. They always look amazing and tutorials like this are pretty popular.

Today I did Lucy Hale's (Aria) look from the Halloween 2012 episode. It was a pretty natural looking bronze smoky eye. A lot of the smoky-ness was on the lower lash line. For this look I used the Urban Decay 15th Anniversary palette, but I try to give you some dupes in the video.

2012 Nail Polish Favorites!

This was an extremely hard category for me because I have so many nail polishes that I love. Because my collection is so large, it's pretty uncommon for me to paint my nails with the same color multiple times, but here are some of my standout favorites of the year.

Sally Hansen Grey Area
  • I don't know why it's called Grey Area because it's more purple, but it's a very pretty purpley grey color. It's really pretty for fall and winter.
Sephora By OPI - What's a Tire Jack?
  •  The best black nail polish EVER. It's extremely dark. It's a true black with no gray undertones in it. It also lasts for a long time without chipping.
Essie Turquoise and Caicos
  • The perfect Tiffany Blue nail polish color.
Essie Tart Deco
  • An amazing coral color that's perfect for the spring/summer.
OPI Sweetheart (couldn't find a link, sorry!)
  • The perfect nude nail polish color that's not streaky or too sheer.
 Illamasqua DWS
  • A very pretty creamy medium grey color that's great for fall and winter without being too dark.
Sephora By OPI - Caught With My Khakis Down
  • An amazing army green color that's perfect for fall.
 100% Acetone.
  • I love acetone for removing glitter nail polish. It's not necessary for regular nail polish, but it makes removing any polish easy. It doesn't dry your nail out too bad either.
I don't have a top or base coat that I've been loving throughout the entire year, sorry!

I have a lot of my nail polish still at school but I tried to remember all of the polishes that I have! I probably forgot some, but this is a general overview of my favorites!

Can You Give Yourself A Gel Manicure From the Drugstore?

I was in the nail polish aisle in Rite Aid, (like always) and I always look at the Nutra Nail Gel Manicures. The specific name is the Nutra Nail Gel Perfect 5 Minute Gel Color Manicure. It claims that it "Sets rock solid in 5 minutes to a patent leather shine." It also claims that it's going to stay on until you remove it. They're $12.99 I believe, so I could never justify spending that much on such a tiny bottle of nail polish. But this time, they were on clearance for 75% off, which brought the price down to about $2.99? So I thought, hey, for three dollars, why not buy it? A lot of the clearance shades were pretty ugly, but I found a dusty pink color that wasn't terrible looking. I was talking to my mom about it and she said that she liked the color and she would try it out.
Nutra Nail Gel Mani Packaging
Nutra Nail Activator, Brush Cleaner, and Gel Color
So here's a video of me applying the gel manicure on my mom's nails. This manicure has very specific steps, so be sure to follow them when applying this mani.

Right after applying the manicure, my mom claimed that her finger nails felt heavy and that it was a little bit uncomfortable. The next morning she didn't find that her nails felt heavy anymore. The manicure also took less than five minutes to completely dry. We also noticed that the activator smelled a lot like super glue.

About 18 hours after this was applied, my mom had a pretty significant chip on her ring finger. The next day, she had another chip in her polish.

She ended up only keeping it on for three or four days.

If you need a manicure to last for a significant amount of time, I definitely wouldn't recommend this gel manicure. I would say go to the salon and get it done.

BUT, if you're looking for a nail polish that's extremely fast drying, this is an amazing product for that. It was completely hard to the touch in less than five minutes. It's very good if you're looking to paint your nails and head right out the door. You can also use this about three or four times because the bottle is so small.

My mom removed this with 100% acetone and had no problems getting it off.

Overall, I would just recommend this if you need a fast drying polish. But for $13 for such a small product, it's a little overpriced in my opinion. I'm curious to test this on my own nails. I suspect that the wear wouldn't be any different if I was to apply it to my own nails.

Everyone loves a tutorial using products that are easy to get your hands on, or drugstore products, and I've been getting a lot of people commenting that they're scared to do a smoky eye. L'oreal Voluminous Power Volume 24 Hour Black Smoke Mascara Review

With all of the new drugstore collections coming out lately, this product seems to have fallen through the cracks of the most hyped products. I picked this up at one of the larger Rite Aids in my area. This product claims to have a "smoky matte effect". Personally, I never noticed that mascaras didn't have a matte finish, but maybe I just never looked close enough. It also says that it has "collagen spheres + semi arched brush". The brush on the packaging is definitely a lot more arched than the actual brush in the tube. This is a plus for me because I hate curved mascara wands.

L'oreal Power Volume 24H Black Smoke Mascara Packaging
L'oreal Power Volume 24H Black Smoke Mascara Tube

This mascara has a natural (as apposed to rubber) wand, which I personally prefer. The mascara claims to provide "24 hour volume, no flakes, smudges or clumps." It also claims that the "semi-arched brush catches all lashes for fuller looking and dramatically bold volume."

Personally, I think that the mascara definitely provides amazing volume. If you have long eyelashes and you're looking for volume, this is definitely a mascara to check out. It doesn't really do a lot in terms of lengthening.

I'm not going to comment on the 24 hour wear part because personally, all mascaras smudge on me, even the Covergirl 24 hour mascara. So it would be unfair to claim that this mascara smudges, because every single mascara that I use smudges. It's definitely a problem with my skin or something. I also have extremely long bottom eyelashes so that could have something to do with it.

This mascara is definitely going to be one of my most reached for mascaras, I just wish it had a little bit more length to it. But it doesn't claim to lengthen, so I'm not taking points off for it.

Covergirl 24 hour mascara wand.
I do find that the covergirl 24 hour mascara is a little bit more lengthening, but it really lacks in the volume section. It also as a rubber bristle brush.

Between the two of these, you could probably get the perfect lash look!

2012 Hair Care Favorites!

This is the third installment of my 2012 favorites series. I think I'm going to do a nail polish favorites and maybe a perfume/lotion/body spray favorites? Or something along those lines. To see my makeup favorites, click here and to see my skincare favorites, click here. I usually don't change up my hair care routine, so most of these items have been staples for me for over a year.

You know the drill, I'm posting a link of each item so that you can see what it looks like, where to buy it, and other people's reviews.

Whenever I go to the hairdresser, she always compliments on how healthy my hair is, so this is obviously working for me.

Favorite Shampoo?
  • Organix Macadamia Oil Shampoo.
  • I love this moisturizer because it's paraben free, so it doesn't lather, which is apparently bad for your hair. I can definitely tell that it's moisturizing too, which is great for damaged hair
Favorite Conditioner?
  • Tresemme Naturals Moisturizing Conditioner.
  • I love this conditioner because it can act as a deep conditioner if I leave it on my hair for a long time. I love that about it because then I don't have to buy multiple products. This makes my hair extremely soft and easy to detangle.
Favorite Leave-In Treatment?
  • Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Tri-Wheat Leave in Conditioner.
  • I have been using this stuff for years and it's the best leave in conditioner/detangler EVER. It smells amazing and I can definitely tell that my hair is less tangly after I apply this. I've repurchased this about 4 times. One bottle lasts me about 6 months because I don't wash my hair every day.
Favorite Anti-Frizz product?
  • Tresemme Fresh Start No Frizz Cream
  • THIS STUFF IS AMAZING, I repeat, THIS STUFF IS AMAZING. This isn't just good for frizz, it's also good for when your hair loses shape in the humidity. In the more humid months, I apply this after drying my hair, and before straightening and my hair stays straight all day! I highly recommend this product.
Favorite Heat Protecting Spray?
  • Tresemme Thermal Creations
    • I like this the best because I find that it doesn't go bad. I've tried the Got 2 Be ones and they go bad after about a year, which was when I was about half of the way through the bottle. So it's a huge waste. I also like this one because it's designed for blow drying and straightening/curling. So you don't have to buy two heat protectors. This also smells really good and does a great job at protecting your hair from damage.

Favorite Dry Shampoo?
  • Salon Grafix Spray
  •  The main reason that I love this dry shampoo is because it has a shade for black hair. I've never seen another brand do a shade for black hair. I used to use one for brunettes, but it just makes me look like I need to touch up my roots, because it leaves a brown color behind. I typically don't find too much of a difference between dry shampoos anyway.
Heat Styling tools?
  • These aren't necessarily favorites, this is just what I use:
  • Remington Wet2Straight Straightener
    • I don't use this on wet hair! I just like how big the heat plates are, because I have such thick hair, I don't like using the straighteners with the small heat plates, because it takes me forever to straighten my hair.
  • Conair 1 1/2 inch barrel curling iron.
    • I also have the 1 inch, but I like big curls better than small curls. I also like having the clamp because I'm not a fan of burning my fingers. This also gets really hot, which is good for my thick hair.
  • Revlon Hair Dryer.
    •  This isn't the exact one that I have, but the only difference is that mine doesn't have a retractable cord. I like how it has a turbo setting because the other speeds are too slow for me and how long it takes to dry my hair.
I don't do a lot in terms of hair styling besides straightening, blow drying and curling, so I don't have a lot of products! Feel free to comment and tell me what you use!

Hayden Panettiere Natural Makeup Look

Hayden Panettiere and Mila Kunis are probably the hottest women alive. I always see Mila Kunis makeup looks but I don't really ever see Hayden Panettiere makeup tutorials, so I thought that I would do one. I found a really pretty look that's extremely natural looking. It's a no-makeup, makeup look. Most people don't want to look like they're wearing makeup and this is a great look do accomplish that with.

I used the Naked 2 palette from Urban Decay to complete this look.

I'm obviously a lot more pale than Hayden is, and we have different eye and hair colors, but I'm using the same colors that she's wearing to complete this look!

Here is the inspiration behind the look:
